KEVIN FOONG

Kevin Foong is a Singaporean photographer/filmmaker with bases in New York, Paris and Singapore. Kevin enjoys photography as much as he does directing and often shoots a second camera while directing. His images are known for a distinctive mise-en-scene ... provocative, meticulous, emotive.

An autodidact, Kevin took to fashion photography and filmmaking only in 2008 in which time he has been responsible for award winning campaigns including groundbreaking work on the interactive web series, Deleted: The Game, which was nominated for four Webby Awards over two years. His personal short films have garnered multiple awards at film festivals internationally. Commercially, Kevin's clients include Salvatore Ferragamo, Tiffany & Co, Juicy Couture, Gucci, Warnaco CK Jeans, Goldman Sachs, Showtime Network, and AOL while his editorial and celebrity images have been featured in publications such as Vogue (Paris), Panorama (Italy) and Surface (Asia).

A philomath and aesthete, Kevin is constantly experimenting. He is currently enamored with flaring and distress in his images, often using crystals, vaseline and various intermediate mediums in front of the lens and sometimes in combination with lens whacking techniques, shooting with the lens detached from the camera body, to create surprising and emotive images.
